Delta Chats’ mission is to bring representatives of non-profit/non-partisan groups together to learn information and skills that build common ground, foster connection, and encourage respectful exchanges of ideas. Through regular meetings, shared resources, and community outreach, we seek to work together to live better together.
Hosted by Bay College, Delta Chats serves the residents of Delta County encourages the promotion, coordination, and practice of inclusive, non-partisan listening/dialogue events and the distribution of related resources.
Our resources include:
· connections to skilled facilitators,
· welcoming places for dialogue, and
· research-based methods.
Personal ideologies should not cloud our shared humanity. The practice and improvement of having difficult conversations can have many community benefits, like:
· reduce anxiety and prejudice,
· building trust and empathy,
· generating better understanding of the perspectives of others, and
· more cohesive, results-oriented teams.
